Meet Oral Surgeon Dr. Klein

Dr. Klein is a board-certified specialist in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.  He is a caring surgeon with a gentle chairside manner who believes all patients should be treated as if they were his family.  Dr. Klein is committed to providing the highest quality of professional service that everyone deserves.  His extraordinary commitment to patient care and overall health is deeply derived from his family’s medical roots as his father and two of his brothers are medical professionals, as were both of his grandfathers.

Dr. Klein completed his residency training in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the Medical College of Georgia Hospital and College of Dental Medicine in Augusta, Georgia.  Prior to residency, Dr. Klein completed a year-long internship in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Christiana Care Hospital System in Newark, Delaware, attended Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dental Medicine in Richmond, Virginia, and completed his undergraduate studies at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology.

During his residency, Dr. Klein trained under nationally recognized leaders in the specialty of Oral Surgery, becoming highly skilled in all aspects of the field.  He was a clinical instructor in the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Department at Medical College of Georgia for certification courses in intravenous conscious sedation for other dental professionals, and a lecturer in the Department of Periodontics on emergency protocols in sedation and office-based emergencies.  He served on the Head and Neck Tumor Board, a multidisciplinary council that assesses the diagnostic and treatment decisions for debilitating cancers of the head and neck region, where he took great satisfaction helping to perform reconstruction on patients after extensive cancer removal surgeries, and acted as Chief Resident operating on patients with life-altering facial trauma at Level-I Trauma Centers.  Dr. Klein was also an instructor for the Mongalo Institute’s Live Implant Training course in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

Dr. Klein became a board-certified Diplomat to the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in 2016.   He is certified in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.  He holds active licenses in the States of Pennsylvania and New Jersey.  Dr. Klein received the Christiana Patient Care Diamond Award during his internship at Christiana Care Health System and the Smile Award for patient care during his residency at the Medical College of Georgia.

Dr. Klein grew up in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, as one of four brothers.  After completing his residency, he moved back to the Philadelphia area.  In his free time, Dr. Klein enjoys spending time with family and friends, cheering on his Philadelphia sports teams, and traveling.
